Apostrophe Society closes after two decades correcting grammar | ITV News

John Richards is closing the Apostrophe Protection Society after two decades.

It was started in 2001 by the retired journalist to make sure the punctuation mark was being correctly used.

But after 18 years he has decided to close down the society.

Mr Richards said fewer organisations and individuals care about the correct use of the apostrophe.
