Cyril Ramaphosa sworn in as new South Africa president amid protests | ITV News

South Africa has finally welcomed a successor to Jacob Zuma as Cyril Ramaphosa was sworn into office as the nation’s president – but not without controversy, as ITV News Senior International Correspondent John Irvine reports.

Mr Ramaphosa, who was elected leader of the ruling African National Congress in December, was the only candidate nominated for election after opposition parties said they would not participate.
