Three years ago Facebook dismissed claims that the platform empowered extremists.
The company has now moved to ban a number of far right groups – including the BNP, the English Defence League and Britain First.
Anti-racism campaigners say the crackdown is ‘long overdue’ but at least one of the banned organisations is considering legal action.
