Father’s tribute to ‘amazing children’ killed in Sri Lanka attack | ITV News

A father has paid tribute to his “wonderful wife” and “amazing children” who were killed in a bombing at the Shangri-la Hotel in Sri Lanka, one of the targets of Sunday’s attacks.

Anita Nicholson, her 14-year-old son, Alex, and 11-year-old daughter, Annabel, were killed in the bombing as they ate breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant, Ben Nicholson said.

The mother and two children are the first of the eight British victims to be named following the attack which left 290 people dead and more than 500 wounded.

Local media reported Mr Nicholson desperately searching for his wife and children in the aftermath of the explosion.

Mr Nicholson survived the attack and paid a moving tribute to his family on Monday.
