Leicester’s mayor: ‘We all need to know the lockdown boundary’

A total of 10% of all positive COVID-19 cases in the country over the past week have occurred Leicester.

In order to combat the local spike, it has been announced that the easing of lockdown will be delayed in the East Midlands city.

Leicester’s mayor Sir Peter Soulsby, once sceptical about the idea of a local lockdown, has now said he understands the need for firm action – but uncertainty remains over where the boundary will be set.
