Nasa astronauts leave ISS aboard SpaceX capsule ahead of splashdown

US astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken are on their way back to Earth.

They have left the International Space Station and will splashdown in their SpaceX capsule into the Gulf of Mexico later on Sunday.

It will be the first splashdown for astronauts in 45 years.

The Nasa astronauts have been in space since the end of May.

They were the first crew launched by Elon Musk’s SpaceX company.
