On 30th September the EU is abolishing sugar quotas meaning for the first time since 1968, British farmers will be free to grow as much as they want and refiners will be able to sell sugar globally. Sky’s Ian King asks Victoria Hewson, senior counsel for the London-based think-tank Legatum Institute’s Special Trade Commission and EU agricultural policy and trade consultant Chris Horseman if Britain should welcome the end of EU quotas.
