Sky Ocean Ventures partners with Nat Geo to reduce single-use plastic
National Geographic and Sky Ocean Ventures have launched a series of challenges for a one-year competition which will focus on reducing single-use plastics.
The prize for the best suggestions in ‘The Ocean Plastic Innovation Challenge’ is a share of $1.5m (£1.16m) in awards and investment.
It consists of three challenges: to design better packaging, a business model with zero-waste and to design a creative way of showing plastic pollution in a new way.
:: The website for people wishing to enter is https://www.nationalgeographic.org/innovation-challenges/plastic
:: Sky’s Ocean Rescue campaign encourages people to reduce their single-use plastics. You can find out more about the campaign and how to get involved at www.skyoceanrescue.com.
