TRUE COLOURS: UNIVERSITY ATTAINMENT GAP | ITV News

If you’re a student from a black, Asian or other minority ethnic background, your chances of being awarded a top degree mark are thirteen per cent lower than a white student. It’s been an issue in universities for years – some say it shows that higher education in this country is institutionally racist. In the latest part of our “True Colours” series exploring issues raised by the Black Lives Matter movement, our Education Correspondent Peter Bearne reports on the university attainment gap.
