Venezuela turmoil puts health care ‘back 70 years’ | ITV News

Venezuela was the first country in South America to complete an organ transplant and had eradicated malaria, measles and diphtheria.

But as the political and economic turmoil in the country continues, children are dying waiting for organ transplants and hospitals cannot even keep their lights on.

One doctor said the health service in the country has “gone back 70 years”.
