Wife of detained Durham University student speaks out | ITV News

Th wife of a Durham University PhD student says that her husband has been held in solitary confinement in the United Arab Emirates without explanation for five months.

Matthew Hedges was reportedly taken into custody at Dubai Airport at the beginning of May. He went there to interview sources about the country’s foreign policy as part of his research. His wife Daniela says his rights are being violated on a daily basis.
