Boris Johnson ‘cautiously optimistic’ about a new Brexit deal

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Friday he’s “cautiously optimistic” about getting a new withdrawal deal with the EU.

Johnson was fielding questions over the Brexit crisis at a convention in the northern English town of Rotherham.

As he heads to Luxembourg for his first face to face meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker on Monday, the Prime Minister says he is working “flat out” to avoid a no deal exit.
