Boris Johnson refers to Donald Trump as ‘previous president’

UK prime minister Boris Johnson slipped up under questioning by MPs on the topic of Donald Trump.
Mr Johnson referred to Mr Trump as the “previous president” when asked by Labour MP Angela Eagle if Mr Johnson had any advice for his “erstwhile best friend”.
Despite president-elect Biden’s victory, Mr Trump remains US president until Mr Biden’s inauguration on 20 January 2021.
Thereafter Mr Trump can also still be referred to as “President Trump” as is common courtesy in the US.
