Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro tests positive for coronavirus | ITV News
It was the day after Britain went into lockdown that, half a world away, Brazil’s President Bolsonaro called corona virus “a little flu”.
The number of deaths there then was below sixty.
Fast forward to today – and the number of people infected in Brazil is 65,500 – amongst them… the President himself, who today tested positive.
He says he feels normal. His latest analogy: the virus is like a rain that will fall on most people; well that “rain” has fallen on one and a half million people in the latest total of cases, the second highest in the world.
