COVID-19: Tightening of Scottish lockdown rules announced

Nicola Sturgeon has tightened COVID restrictions in Scotland, laying out six changes which will come into effect on Saturday.

Only shops selling essential items – such as clothing, footwear, baby equipment, homeware and books – will be allowed to offer click and collect.

And takeaways will no longer allow customers indoors, and must instead operate from a hatch or doorway.
