Nobody can agree on how Christmas should be celebrated this year, even after the miraculous conception of the five-day Christmas bubble. There is, however, one principle we should all be able to embrace.
Covid-19 should be this festive season’s ‘get out of jail free’ card. Will everybody feeling, frankly, a little frazzled, we should let go of perfectionism this year. The tree can be a bit wonky, the tinsel a little tacky, the dinner a little more boozy and bought-in. Need we remind you that Mary and Joseph didn’t even have a bed for the night, let alone Instagrammable hand-made table ornaments?
