EU leader Charles Michel criticises Boris Johnson’s Brexit plan

EU leader Charles Michel criticised the UK at the UN General Assembly for its threats to breach parts of the Withdrawal Agreement it signed with the bloc.

He said “respect for treaties, a basic principle of international law, comes to be considered optional even by those who, until recently, were its historical guarantors”.

“All this in the name of partisan interests,” he said, referring to the UK Government.
