Free school meal food parcels labelled ‘degrading’ | ITV News
Food parcels destined for children who receive free school meals have been criticised as ‘woefully inadequate’ and even ‘degrading’.
The government says its urgently investigating, after parents posted pictures online showing packages containing just a fraction of what they say they need to feed their children.
Suppliers have been criticised, with some parents calling for a return to the previous voucher system.
