French police officers charged over beating and racial abuse of black music producer in Paris

Four French police officers have been charged in connection to the beating and racial abuse of a black music producer.

An officer is thought to have set off a flash grenade and a tear gas canister during the incident.

It comes days after the incident in Paris which has intensified controversy over a new security law that would restrict the right to publish photos of on-duty police officers.
