A new UN-backed report has warned countries need to take “unprecedented” action to limit dangerous global warming.

Far-reaching changes to power generation, industry, transport, buildings and potential shifts in lifestyle such as eating less meat will be required to curb temperature rises at 1.5C above pre-industrial levels, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report said.
