The Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, has died after testing positive for Covid-19.
Sutcliffe, 74, was one of the UK’s most notorious prisoners, who had murdered at least 13 women across Yorkshire and the North West between 1975 and 1980.
He was serving a whole-life term, and was being held at HMP Frankland in County Durham.
Sutcliffe died overnight, Friday Nov 13, in hospital after being admitted 10 days ago for a heart issue. He had tested negative for Covid-19 when he was admitted.
