Russia paid Taliban-linked fighters to attack British troops
British security officials have confirmed that a Russian intelligence unit paid Taliban-linked fighters to kill coalition troops in Afghanistan.
Sky News has been told the group responsible for the payments was also behind the Skripal poisonings.
It comes as US President Donald Trump was forced to deny claims that he knew about Russian activity in Afghanistan.
