Tougher fines for rule breakers as Number 10 refuses to give timescale on lockdown | ITV News
When the virus arrived in the UK, we thought the first lockdown would last three weeks, then that things would be normal by the summer, then in time for Christmas and then Easter.
Now Boris Johnson, who has made several optimistic predictions along the way, is being rather more cautious. He couldn’t even say whether the lockdown would still be in place by this summer. While his home secretary, Priti Patel made the same point when asked about booking summer holidays.
