Protesters set fires and confronted police in Dutch towns and cities, defying the country’s coronavirus curfew.
The curfew, between 9pm and 4.30am, was brought in to combat sharply rising coronavirus infections, hospital admissions and deaths, but many have actively defied it across the Netherlands after posts on social media urged people to protest.
