Joe Biden is due to unveil an ambitious plan to tackle the pandemic later.
He will pledge to commit trillions of dollars in government spending – the crisis dominating his first 100 days in office.
Those funds will include a significant increase on rolling out the vaccine – 30 million doses have been delivered, but so far just 10 million have actually been handed out.
